Professor Olapegba explored the socio-psychological dimensions of aging in contemporary Nigerian society. His presentation highlighted the need for comprehensive geriatric care systems such as recreational centers for adults and addressed mental health challenges faced by senior citizens, proposing community-based solutions. He emphasized the need for individuals to belong to a club (or a society) that will facilitate physical interactions regularly which will improve overall mental health and facilitate secured adults companionship.
